    Realtor safety is a serious matter in our industry. If you’ve paid attention to the news in the last year, you’ve likely seen a couple very disturbing news stories involving real estate agents meeting unknown potential clients on a whim. Unfortunately, these agents were quick to run out and open a door without getting any personal information on the prospective buyers. That’s why Tami Price Properties, Inc. recently adopted a policy to require a pre-approval, proof of funds, and/or lender contact before setting up showings. This policy assists in ensuring our safety and knowing we are meeting/assisting a real qualified buyer.  

    WHAT WE NEED? 

    Any of the items below will suffice:

    PRE-APPROVAL
    Are you already pre-approved? If so, GREAT! If you send us your current pre-approval you are all set.

    CONTACT OUR LENDER
    If you aren’t pre-approved and don’t have a lender already, we’ll connect you with one of our great lenders. If you have a lender in mind already and do not want to be connected with one of ours, that’s fine too.

    LETTER FROM BANK
    Paying cash? Simply send us a letter from your bank stating you can cover the price point we’re looking in.

    WHAT WE DON’T NEED?

    CREDIT SCORE
    We don’t need to know what your credit score is. 

    FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS
    We don’t need ANY of your financial documentation. Our job is to help find you a place to call home, we leave this portion to your lender.

    INCOME
    We don’t need your pay-stubs or any other income related documentation.

    ADDITIONAL REASONS WE REQUIRE THIS

    TIME
    Time is a precious commodity for us. By requiring some documentation upfront we make sure our clients are serious about the buying process. As a client of ours this means we will have time for you when you need us, as we are not opening doors across town for unqualified buyers. We run our practice like a business and set appointments for all client related activities.

    Creating a Standard of Professionalism
    It can sometimes be easy to chase the siren’s song of a potential commission on a whim.  However, without knowing exactly where you stand with your purchasing power we simply cannot serve you to the best of our abilities.  This policy ensures we have a clear picture of what you can purchase before setting our game plan.

    DOES EVERY OFFICE REQUIRE THIS?

    No, not every office requires this documentation upfront.  There are agents who will open doors for you within hours of a request, which is completely fine for them.  We are a team of professionals and commit to our clients our time, resources and expertise and for this we ask for a similar commitment upfront.  If you are simply looking for a door opener, we are likely not the team for you.
